The Hillsborough County Agricultural Fair is a time when our 4-H youth get to showcase their hard work from the year. Members can show their 4-H animal projects, enter exhibits, and partake in volunteering opportunities.
4-H Animal Entries are due August 20th through 4Honline 4-H ANIMALS FAIRBOOK
4-H Exhibit Building entries(Hillsborough County 4-Hers and clubs only) can be made through 4Honline and the displays dropped off during the week of September 2-5. They must be in place by Thursday 9/5 at 8pm. We want to see your 4-H Spirit! Clubs, groups, families, and independent members are invited to set up displays using the theme: 4-H Fueling the Flame! to show off what ignited the spark of our 4-H members last year. Now we want to see that continued passion and what provides the fuel that ignited the fire inside them!
This year the 4-H Exhibit Hall will be centrally focused on the 4-H member experience. We want to see your 4-H Spirit! Clubs, groups, families, and independent members will set up displays using the theme: 4-H Fuel the Flame! to show off what our 4-H members are passionate about and what provides the spark that fuels the flame inside them! Exhibits will not be divided by area or class and judged individually, but instead grouped together to show the whole overall 4-H participant program and judged as a single unit. Exhibits should represent 4-H projects and activities and promote the 4-H program to the public. It can be a full display of items to follow a theme or a poster exhibit using a 3-sided display board only to illustrate the message (no display articles, samples or handouts). Participants can utilize the theme in a variety of ways to create a display that showcases how 4-H has continued going strong through the pandemic (examples: making face masks to donate, Winter Hiking Challenge, 4-H Unplugged Series, Virtual 4-H Clubs, robotics sessions via Zoom, etc.), or display ‘outside’ projects that have been explored in the past (examples: maple sugaring, forestry, bicycling, healthy living, etc.), or ‘outside the ordinary’ projects that are planned for the future (example: beekeeping). Ideas for the theme are only suggestions and displays are not limited to just those. All exhibits will receive a ribbon and there will be a “Best in Show” exhibit chosen.
